Sydney Jayne is 5!! OMG! I really can't believe my youngest child is a KID...not a baby...not a toddler... :(

So anyone who knows, for the last.....hum...YEAR, Syndey has been talking about her princess pink tea party! Well the day finally came and it was a huge success. Luckily it did not rain, phew! But all the little girls seemed to really enjoy the day. We had a huge princess jumper, played fancy games, drank tea, ate chocolate dipped strawberries, cotton candy, wore fancy jewels...ect. I had soo much fun putting it together. John kept asking..."Are you sure this is for Sydney and not you?" hahaha, and I would say um..well kinda for both of us! Cindy, Nanny and Auntie Jenna came early to help set up, or should I say..set it up for me? They were a huge help! And my nieces Sarah and Marissa made some delicious cream puffs that were amazing! The day was delightful!

This is John's view from his clients plane! He wanted me to come with them while the kids were in school, to fly to Riverside for lunch. I, of course refused the crazy offer. There are a few things in my life I just won't do! I like to think of myself as a somewhat spontaneous young woman....but flying on a 6 seater tiny plane is not happenin! Nor scuba dive....(I hate fish and sharks by me unless in a tank) or sky dive.....Besides if we both were flying and died, I would feel awful for our kids! So John lived! And he did admitt it was freakin scary.....

At Wyatts school they had Family Science Night. Its a different theme every year, but this year was "Science on the Farm". They had this petting zoo with all baby animals. Ok...is this not the cutest baby goat you had ever seen? There was also baby chicks hatching for the kids. It was so neat. Wyatt was in heaven! The eggs were hatching in front of the kids and once they were out of the egg they would put them in a big glass aquarium to fluff up. They were so cute....man I forgot to take a picture.........

So last week we decided to surprise the kids and camp on the boat. We just got a new slip in the Redondo Marina (right behind Cheesecake Factory) And have always wondered if it would be comfortable enough to sleep on if we went to Catalina. Well it actually was great! I grabbed some hot dogs and made some steak kabbobs, hot coco, marshmallows, cereal and snacks. The kids were so excited. I told John "What if we get too cold"? He says..."Then we will go home". Oh yeah...Home is 5 min. away. It just felt like we were on a far away adventure. Very fun!

Wyatt was able to squeeze his lil bean head and skinny body threw....and they Sydney had to copy, and got stuck! I totally wish I had a picture because it would have been soo funny to see. But at the time it was scary because we almost had to call for help. Then John finally got her head out. Must be all those brains she has. Now we know who has the bigger head! haha

Well, we finally took the kids to experience the snow. I had to suck it up and take one for the team....I hate the snow!! I have definitely had my share of snow in this life time (kinda like Top Ramen and PB&J) and had to do it for the kids! I was very happy we did. They had SO much fun and made some great memories. It wasn't so bad once I saw Wyatt and Sydney enjoying themselves. We rented a little cabin tucked away in the heart of big bear. I wanted to stay in a hotel/resort place, but John wanted the whole rustic woodsie effect. So he won.... I lived the whole "rustic woodsie" life for 18 years, so didn't sound very cool to me, or like vacation. But it all turned awesome! :)

Today was Wyatts "Friendship Ball". It was only the 1st grade. It is basically a Valentine dance, but they called it that so its not a weird lovie boyfriend/girlfriend thing. So freakin funny! They have been praticing dances like the twist, macarena, YMCA.....ect. All the parents come and then the kids do all their little dances. They all dress extra fancy and take pictures. Me and two other moms volenteered to make the photo backdrop. We also all donated items for snacks. All most all the boys were imbarrased and hated the fact that they had to wear nice clothes. But every girl was wearing a smile and super into the dancing. Most of them had their hair curled and were wearing their Christmas dresses. Wyatt wore the outfit he wore in Shiloe and Ryans wedding. This is probally the cutest/funniest thing they have done so far! hahaha

Sydney loved ballet! Well...once she got there! She got all ready, I had just put her bow in her hair and then she burst into tears. She was so upset that she ran and hid in the closet. She started taking off her tutu and saying she did not want to go to ballet. This was 5 min. before we had to be there. I told her that it was totally fine she didn't have to ever go to ballet, and that I only was taking her because she wanted to go. But the day before......we invited her best friend to join her in ballet class, so I told her we had to go there to tell Elise that Sydney was too scared to do ballet with her. So I hurried her out the door before she striped down. When we got there she made me hold her to cover up her outfit so nobody would see her. She was still crying then said "I'm to shy to have all those people watch me dance on stage, that's why I don't want to do ballet"! Sooo in a nut shell, Sydney thought we were going to watch her make her grand appearance in the Nutcracker. Lol! So once she found out that she was only attending class with a bunch of 4 year olds, her panic attack ended. She hopped right in class and was soo happy that she wasn't performing in a Grand Theatre in front of 1,000s of people. I guess all she knew or had seen of ballet was when I took her to see the Nutcracker this Christmas.......poor thing!

Last week I volunteered for Wyatt's class field trip to the Long Beach aquarium. We had a blast. I haven't been since Sydney was a baby so we rushed threw the whole thing. So this time we were forced to stay for 4 hours so we saw everything like 3 times! In this picture that stingray kept swimming up the glass. The kids were very amused.

This is Wyatt's first year playing basketball and he loves it! I think he finally found his sport! This is my least favorite sport as far as watching it on tv, so I never really thought to sign him up. He gets to run constantly, which is exactly what he and I need! Unlike baseball where he sits in the dug out waiting for his turn to bat....(well he usually is the kids climbing the chain link fence) or stuck in the outfield doing the whole "pinch-n-roll" thing that all the lil boys do to their wiener, and filling his back pocket of his baseball pants with grass to make a suitable home for the ladybugs he put back there! Soo this seems to be it. Last Saturday he scored his first baskets. It was so funny.....he jumped up and down waiving his skinny arms in the air with the biggest smile (he had to have been snorting) it was priceless. John and I cracked up, we are very entertained while watching our baby giraffe trip over his long legs and huge feet! The cutest thing ever. Everyone should experience a Wyatt Marsh basketball game!

A day at the pumpkin patch. We now are boycotting this gay pumpkin patch! We bought a pony ride for each kid for $6.50 a piece. Sydney SURPRISINGLY wouldn't get on the nasty pony's, they stunk......So John went back to the lady and told her they Sydney wouldn't get on, so he nicely asked for a refund. The lady said " no refunds!" Very rude! ( not that it matters, but to give you an image...This lady lives in a trailer parked on the lot, has deep deep acne scars all over her face, her belly hung over her wazzie, no joke a huge witch mole on her nose, and the greasiest hair it looked very wet.) John shocked said, " Um Mame, my daughter is too scared to ride, I just bought this from you like 2 min. ago!" She says " Well that's to bad Huh! " So we turned to the line of people waiting to buy and said " Who wants to buy our Pony ride ticket??" We sold it, and then John was soo pissed. He told that lady "We will be sure to tell everyone we know how rude and shady you are here!" She just smiled, which made John more mad. So now he is planning on going back to the pumpkin patch with his truck full of pumpkins from Smart n Final to hand out for free. Just so she can loose some money on pumpkins...LOL....I think he is serious, He told Mitch, and he wants to join him. "This is a fun place for kids for goodness sake! Not a freaking place for rude nasty ladies to rip poor families off!" Says John.....I will keep you posted......lol

We went to Disneyland last week for Haylee (our great niece) Birthday. We took a little break for lunch in Downtown Disney at the Rainforest Cafe. Across from it was the HUGE Lego Store! Wyatt wanted his picture taken with everything in the store! It was pretty cool. He loved all the life size Star War guys made of legos.

Sydney's only update is that she is really having a blast in school. She has a group of 5 little girls that she plays with. Her teacher told me that she has never had such a group of sweet little girls, who all get along soo well! She wishes she can go to school every day!

Oh......so...this is my handsome little football player......hahaha! How cute and funny is he? He looks like a boy from that old movie Stand By Me. Very old fashioned looking I guess... He now likes football, even thought he has been playing for 2 months he wasn't that into it until the real games started. Funny football story: At his 3rd day of practice a larger kid was bugging/picking on him. (pulling his flags offs, pushing him out of line, just kind of bulling all the kids)And not to mention he is about a foot taller than all the boys on the team, so nobody can really do anything, they all just put up with his BS....super annoying kid! This kid now had the official "bully title" from all the kids. Well John was sitting with me watching Wyatt practice and we notice him getting annoyed by the "bully kid". So he comes to me (threw the fence) "Mom the Bully kid is bugging me" So doing the right thing I tell him, "Wyatt just tell him, Hey we are all on the same team, stop messing with me and only pull the other teams flags, not mine. We are all friends and need to work as a team." So he runs back tells the kid and gets back in line. Not a min. later the "bully" runs by Wyatt and pulls his flags off again. He looks over at us confused, wondering why my wise words had no impact. He then comes to the fence and yells for Dad...... So John gets up bends down and Wyatt asks " Daddy if I do a really good job playing football and listen REALLY good........when I'm done with practice could you please help me beat someone up?" John had to really hold back the laughter and explain why they couldn't beat people up and how to be the bigger man, and ignore the bully. Hahahaha so as soon as Wyatt left we laughed our butts off!!

Well Wyatt just tested for his orange belt in jiu-jitsu and passed! He feels so proud showing up to class with his bright stiff new belt. He walks around the market after class, with his head held high, like the whole market has all eyes on his fancy new belt! Soo funny and cute. Were very proud of his accomplishments!
